WHAT DO YOU WANT?

What do you think your life will look like one year from now, five years from now, even ten years from now?

It is so important to figure out what you want your life to look like rather than just letting life happen to you. It is the difference between being proactive versus reactive. Start keeping a journal of all your hopes and dreams for the next ten years.

Keep visualizing exactly what you want your life to look like. Cut out pictures and paste them in your journal. You don’t have to know how to make all these goals and dreams come true, just stay focused and let your brain go to work on helping you achieve them.

One of my favorite goals that I manifested is our beach house.  I had wanted a beach house for years.  A place where my grandchildren could create childhood memories.  Even though many people told me that ocean property was way to expensive for most people, I refused to believe that.

But the funny thing was, I had absolutely no idea how we could financially pull a beach house purchase off.  Nevertheless, I kept that vision in my mind and thought about it constantly.

Amazingly enough, I had actually convinced my kids that we were going to have a beach house because they started giving me gifts for decorating it.

I almost felt under pressure because I have always told my kids you can have anything you want, if you want it bad enough, and if I didn’t get my beach house, they would think everything I told them growing up was baloney.

And then one day, I figured it out…  It was like magic.  It still wasn’t super easy and we had to jump through several hoops to make it happen, but let me tell you, I am sitting in my beach house right now writing this blog post!

Another example is with a car my hubs and I once bought when we were younger and had little ones.  At that time, we wanted a Volvo because they were considered to be one of the safest cars to drive.

One Saturday we were out just “looking” at cars when we found our dream car.  It was a beautiful Volvo station wagon, gunmetal blue with beautiful rims and a sporty turbo motor.  We purchased it that day and were ecstatic with our beautiful, new to us, (used) car.

After we had owned it for just a couple days, Paul (my hubs), and I, happened to be in our garage talking about something.  It was then that I looked up and saw our exact car on the front of a Volvo brochure that Paul had stapled to his pegboard a couple years earlier.  We couldn’t believe we had bought the exact car.

I could list several more instances when we have manifested what we wanted, but this is my message:  If you want something bad enough, visualize it, get pictures of it, and never stop believing in it even if you don’t know how it is going to happen.

Our amazing minds like complex tasks like these.  And, it could take a while to realize your goal or dream.  But let go of the how, release all worry,  visualize it, and it sure doesn’t hurt to have some pictures that remind you of what you desire.

In several of my experiences, I had a picture on a bulletin board or a vision board, or even the pegboard board in the garage, but had completely forgotten about.  That shows you how the mind keeps searching for our desires even when we are unaware of it.

So let me ask you again, what do you want your life to look like one year from now, five years from now, and even ten years from now?  Start dreaming and dream big!  Make plans for an amazing life.  Create a life you love!
